Today I’m sharing a card layout using designer series paper. This easy DSP card layout stemmed from a project at a recent team training event with a card designed by Jacque Williams.
I’ve also created my first video!! Whoop woo!
EASY DSP LAYOUT MEASUREMENTS
You can make this layout with any of the pretty paper you have in your stash. I’ve used the Bloom Where You’re Planted designer series paper. I love this paper, the plants are so much fun to cut out and the pack also contains some great neutral backgrounds.
My card base is Thick Basic White 21 x 14.9 cm (8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″) scored and folded in half.
Then I have an Evening Evergreen layer measuring 10 x 14.4cm (4″ x 5-1/4″) and a basic white layer 9.7cm x 14cm (3-7/8” x 5-1/8”)
My strips of DSP are 4cm (1-3/4″) wide and you need 1 each at 12.5cm, 7cm & 5cm long (4-1/2″, 2″ and 2-3/8″)
These pieces form the background and are placed up on dimensionals with a small gap in between each piece.
I have die cut a circle from one of the more neutral papers using the layering circle dies. It’s the 3rd from largest circle that measures 6cm (2-3/8″) across.
In the video I forgot to add the gold Metallic Pearls. For placement I keep these in odd numbers and form triangles as per the image above.
ALTERNATIVE DESIGNS
In addition, I made some alternative designs of this easy dsp card layout.
Using the same dsp and the Plentiful Plants stamp set, however I’ve used a piece of the Paper Lattice to anchor the plants.
Meanwhile in this example I’ve used the Whimsy & Wonder suite with stamped and die cut trees.
Lastly, here is my version of Jacque’s card design from the training day. The DSP Jacque used was Penguin Playmates from the recent sale-a-bration promotion.
To sum up, I love how easy it is to take a layout like this and create such different cards and use up your scraps of dsp.
I hope you enjoy the video too, please leave me a comment and I’d love you to subscribe to my channel on YouTube.

Aw, thanks Heather. It was easy and fun to change the dsp and come up with a different card each time.
