Happy New Year! I have a pretty card to share using the new Queen Bee stamp set. I love how the bee is the focus, encircled by the die-cut leaves.

DESIGN DETAILS
First, I stamped the bee in Memento Black ink. Most importantly I recommend using the achieve a nice dark image.
Secondly, I’ve coloured the flowers on the body and wings using the light versions of the blend colours for a soft look. In addition, the background around the flowers on the wings was coloured using Gray Granite, as a result the flowers are more defined.
The inclusion of the crown adds a fun element and indicates the importance of the Queen Bee.
The typewriter style words coupled with repeat stamping of Birthday create an interesting background.
Lastly, I finished it off by adding a few Elegant Faceted Gems.
