I love strawberries and eat them all summer to make up for the 7 months of the year when they’re not in season. The new Sweet Strawberry set seemed just perfect for this project on a wooden sign I’d bought a few months ago. I’m sure I’m not alone in buying something from a dollar store with the intention to decorate and then finding it months later still bare in the back of a cupboard.
SWEET STRAWBERRY BUNDLE
DESIGN DETAILS
The smaller leaves on the stems with blossoms were stamped in Memento Black ink which had been stamped off first to give a lighter image. These were then coloured using Stampin’ Blends, Flirty Flamingo for the flowers and Shaded Spruce for the leaves. I drew over the stems with Shaded Spruce to disguise the black.
I arranged the stems, strawberries and extra leaves in a circle until I was happy with the look. Then I carefully applied tombo glue and put them back in place. Unfortunately somewhere along the way my circle ended up a little crooked, oops! Not a big deal, it is handmade after all.
I stamped the word sweet in Poppy Parade from the sentiment in the set and fussy cut and added friend using the Well Written dies and Shaded Spruce cardstock to finish it off.
