BRIGHT RAINBOW CARDS & WALLET

I’ve created a really fun, bright rainbow project today. It’s not my usual style and I’ve found it quite uplifting. I’ve used the What a Year Memories & More card pack from page 127 of the Annual Catalogue 2021-2022. What a brilliant name for a pack of fun, cheerful cards.

MEMORY KEEPING & MORE

I often buy these card packs when they co-ordinate with a designer series paper for example I have the Hand-penned card pack too. The cards have different images than the DSP and stamps and are a great way of extending a suite. I haven’t really ventured into memory keeping but these card packs offer so much more as you will see.

The card pack has 2 sizes of cards, 3” x 4” and 6” x 4” along with some cute stickers. Including days of the week, flowers and bright numbers.

I chose a rainbow theme when selecting the Memories & More cards. And I love the house image I’ve adhered to the front of the wallet.

BRIGHT RAINBOW CARDS & WALLET

The folded DSP wallet was very popular a few years ago when the notecards & envelopes were first released. Now they’re having a comeback. The wallet is folded from 1 piece of 12 x 12 DSP. There’s no cutting and no glue and once you have the hang of it they’re really quick to put together.

I chose the Pattern Party DSP for the wallet as there were the same or similar colours used in this paper and the What a Year card pack. Plus the DSP is black & white on the reverse for great contrast.

Notecards & Envelopes are great for creating quick cards and so they’re economical. They’re slightly smaller than our standard card size, so they slip into the folded wallet easily with the matching envelopes.

These colourful cards came together quickly by adhering the 3” x 4” Memories & More card to the front of the notecard. On one of the notecards I used 2 Memories & More cards. I just trimmed the top one a bit. I also used the stickers for the sentiment so there was no stamping in these cards.

Now I’m designing a class project of cards in a wallet using the hand-penned set of cards. So look out for it, or if you’d like me to invite you when it’s on, subscribe to my mailing list.
