TROPICAL LEAF EMBOSS RESIST CARD

I’ve used the Tropical Leaf Stamp set and punch and created 2 layers using Versamark. Firstly, as a background and secondly with the emboss resist technique.

Tropical Leaf Emboss Resist Card

DESIGN DETAILS

The first layer of Soft Sea Foam card stock was stamped using the stems from the stamp set horizontally using Versamark ink. An ink traditionally used with embossing powder. However, if you let it dry naturally after stamping it dries clear and the image is a slightly darker version of the card stock.

Secondly, I stamped the small leaf randomly all over a piece of Basic White card stock. Added white embossing powder and applied heat to set it. Next a blending brush and Soft Sea Foam ink were used to colour the white card. As a result, the leaves appear to be on a Sea Foam background. Use a dry tissue to wipe off the excess ink from the white embossed leaves. The technique gets its name from the white embossed areas resisting the ink and remaining white.
