Heirloom Arrangements Kit Scrapbook Page

The final project in this series is my Heirloom Arrangements Kit scrapbook page, another way to preserve memories from the recent Stampin’ Up! event. This page features the team group I travelled with, though two people are missing from the photo—I’ll have to photoshop them in!

Scrapbook Page with Card Bases

Inspired by the same Stampin’ Up! post as last week, I used card bases from the kit to create layered elements. These bases enhance the vintage feel and provide a solid foundation for additional embellishments.

I started by blending Crumb Cake and Pretty in Pink ink onto the page. Then, I used the grid stamp with Crumb Cake ink, stamping off first to create a subtle background effect.

Using the card base as a guide, I carefully inked and stamped only in areas that wouldn’t be covered later. By grouping the remaining kit pieces by color and style, I arranged three decorative clusters. At the top, I placed brown-toned tags and a butterfly. On the left, I combined pinks and greens with a black-and-white bordered element. The last cluster features a vellum piece, a coordinating oval label, and a delicate floral accent.

Shadow Without Dimensionals

While dimensionals add depth to cardmaking, they aren’t always ideal for scrapbooking, where flatter designs are preferred. Instead, I used glue dots to create subtle dimension. A single glue dot lifts elements by about half a millimeter, providing just enough shadowing. Doubling up glue dots under the large butterfly wings worked perfectly to add a bit of lift.

Heirloom Arrangements Kit

This project used up the last of the pre-printed die cuts from the kit. All that remains are a few card base scraps and one envelope. I’m amazed at how many unique projects I’ve created with this kit!

I plan to buy another kit and take it on my next caravan trip. The vintage-style images are perfect for the layered cardmaking I love. Then I’ll have pieces for a second Heirloom Arrangements Kit scrapbook page, so watch this space.
