Reflecting on Our First Scrapbooking Retreat: A Day of Creativity and Connection
On a warm September day, we gathered at the enchanting Leafy Hollow Lavender Farm in Waiuku for our very first scrapbooking retreat! It was a day filled with creativity, community, and the joy of bringing memories to life through paper crafting.
As attendees arrived at the light-filled studio, they were greeted with an atmosphere that was both relaxed and inspiring. Whether you brought your own project or chose to start fresh with one of our pre-designed kits, there was something magical about the shared experience of creating together.
Bringing Your Own Project
Some participants arrived with their own scrapbooking projects, excited to focus on them in a supportive environment. Everyone had the space to spread out and dive into their work. Access to tools like paper trimmers, dies, and embossing folders made it easy to add extra details to each project. As the day went on, it was inspiring to see how everyone’s unique style came to life.
Introducing the “Country Woods” Kit
Our “Country Woods” kit was a standout at the retreat, perfect for those ready to dive into a new project. Inspired by the peaceful beauty of the countryside, this kit featured warm, earthy tones and soft floral accents. The woodgrain patterns, combined with pastel colors, gave each page a rustic yet elegant feel.
With charming details like birds, birdhouses, and nature-inspired embellishments, it was easy to create layouts that felt cozy and inviting. The kit’s simple design made it versatile, allowing participants to personalise their pages while keeping a consistent theme. Whether you were new to scrapbooking or a seasoned crafter, the “Country Woods” kit sparked creativity and helped everyone bring their unique vision to life.
Scrapbooking Retreat: A Day to Remember
What truly made the retreat special was the sense of community. Participants shared tips, encouraged one another, and celebrated each small victory. Conversations flowed easily, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. By the end of the day, everyone left not only with beautiful pages but also with new friends and memories. It was the perfect balance of creativity and connection.
