Recently, I organised a crafting community swap where we exchanged handmade cards. Each participant crafted multiple versions of the same card, ensuring everyone in the swap received one. The only rule? We had to use current Stampin’ Up! products. I love how each card is so unique. Yet together, they form a beautiful and diverse collection.
It’s wonderful to see the techniques I’ve taught in classes appear in these stunning creations. Watching these ideas come to life in a variety of styles and designs is truly rewarding.

Fold Out Panorama Card: My Contribution
For my crafting community swap contribution, I created a Fold Out Panorama Card. I used the Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper (DSP) and Textured Floral dies. My design was inspired by a card Kayla Renee made a few months ago. Her creativity sparked my version, and I couldn’t wait to share it with the group.
How to Cut Paper for a Fold Out Panorama Card
The Thoughtful Journey DSP is both beautiful and versatile. In this card design, almost the entire 6” x 6” sheet of paper is used. The key is to cut the height first, then move from left to right, carefully cutting each section. This ensures that the scene remains continuous throughout the card. I’ll be sharing more details on this in a future post, where I’ll demonstrate a different version of this card. Stay tuned for those instructions!
Adding a Pocket for Personal Messages
Because the design maximizes the use of the pretty DSP, there’s no space for a heartfelt message inside the card itself. Inspired by Kayla’s clever idea, I added a pocket on the right-hand side. This allows for a pull-out card where you can write your message. You could also tuck in a gift, like money, a lottery ticket, or a voucher, making the card even more special.
Crafting in a swap not only brings people together but also lets creativity flourish. Each project is a reminder of the endless possibilities when talented crafters share their ideas!
