I designed this Delicate Whispers Z Fold Card for my April classes to inspire creativity and introduce a fun fold design.
I like to include a fun fold in each class, offering variety while keeping projects achievable for all skill levels.
This fold showcases beautiful papers and creates a display-ready design with an easy, elegant fold.
Delicate Whispers Z Fold Card Design Details
This Delicate Whispers Z Fold Card was inspired by a clever fold design shared by Lori de Groot.
It uses a standard card base, with simple scoring and trimming to create a hidden flap for the focal layer.
The result is an interactive Z fold that looks impressive while remaining simple enough for class participants to recreate confidently.
Delicate Dreams Designer Series Paper
I wanted this card to highlight the stunning Delicate Dreams Designer Series Paper.
To stretch my supplies for class kits, I replaced two patterned panels with an embossed background instead of additional DSP.
The paper still takes centre stage on the front, while subtly peeking through inside for a cohesive and elegant finish.
The Lazy Daisy embossing folder coordinates perfectly with the floral imagery, making it an ideal complement to this design.
Delicate Whispers Z Fold Card with Bronze Elements
The Delicate Dreams DSP features bronze foil accents that add warmth and richness to the soft colour palette.
The combination of blue, green, and cream tones creates a dreamy and versatile look suitable for many occasions.
To complement the bronze details, I used copper embossing powder for the flowers and sentiment elements.
I finished the card with adhesive-backed metallic gems, adding just the right amount of sparkle without overwhelming the design.
