It’s not often that I have the opportunity to attend a class, I’m usually teaching them. However, I attended a demonstrator event today and we could register for a class. I chose the Painted Lavender class by Bernie Roodt from Tauranga.
The Painted Lavender suite is available on pages 22-25 of the mini catalogue. However, the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper is currently on low inventory, so you’ll need to order quickly or there will be a wait.
DESIGN DETAILS
We used the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper (DSP) to die cut the leaves and stems. Therefore, they have a subtle pattern to them. The lavender flowers were stamped with 2 stamps, the first using Fresh Freesia ink and the second Highland Heather.
The frame was made by die cutting with the Deckled Rectangle Dies. The center part was embossed using the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder.
We coloured the Paper Butterfly Accent with Highland Heather ink and a water painter after spritzing with water.
You’re Simply Marvelous is stamped in Blackberry Bliss. The stamp is from the Perennial Postage stamp set.
PAINTED LAVENDER STAMP SET AND DIE BUNDLE
Stamp then die-cut your own lavender bouquet or rolling field of wildflowers, complete with butterflies. The Painted Lavender stamp and die bundle makes it fun and easy!
Create a simple bunch of lavender or a rolling field of wildflowers for all your card making, paper crafting, and scrapbooking projects.
Lastly, we decorated a Square Pillow Box, also using the Painted Lavender bundle.
The stamping is direct onto the box using the same colours as the card, however the leaves were stamped off first, therefore it’s a lighter version of the Shaded Spruce colour.
We made more die cuts from the designer series paper and grouped them together at the stems with a twine bow.
In addition a small butterfly was fussy cut from the DSP.
Uniquely, we had Sara Douglass visit us, woo hoo!! Sara was planning to come to a 35 years celebration last year but had to change her plans last minute. So she flew in to be with us today.
It was great to be able to chat with Sara during the day and grab photos. How amazing that the CEO does things like this. Feeling grateful 🙂
