TRI EASEL BEAUTIFUL EARTH CARD

A card with real wow! Using another favourite this year, the Beauty of the Earth Suite on pages 10 and 11 of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. My tri easel beautiful earth card follows an Instagram post by Elodie Ventroux where she introduced this fun fold.

TRI EASEL INSTRUCTIONS

It looks complicated, but you’ll be amazed how simple it is to create the tri easel folds.

To showcase the designer series paper I cut a piece the same size as the card front and adhered it down first. Secondly I divided the card front into 3 equal sections on my trimmer. I work in metric therefore my 14.9cm card front was cut at 4.9 and 9.8

Then I used the score blade to score three diagonal lines on the resulting strips.

I die cut the leaf canopy from Basic White cardstock and used the broad tip of my multipurpose liquid glue to randomly daub some adhesive onto it. This allowed the Gilded Leafing embellishment to stick. I love the effect and how it brings the tree to life.

The gilded leaf canopy was adhered to two Cinnamon Cider die cut trees, one on top of the other for extra strength. Finally I added a Mossy Meadow die cut bird.

The tree is adhered only by the trunk so it stands up when the easel is folded.

FINISHING DETAILS

Inside the card are 3 stopper pieces measuring 4cm x 2cm set at intervals where the easel folds need to be held for display. For placement I folded each easel and held it with one hand while I placed the stopper using dimensionals.
