Artistic Leaves Card Using Layers and Textures

I recently got my hands on the Artistic Leaves Stamp Set and couldn’t wait to dive in. If you’re anything like me, you love the satisfaction of building a card from layers and textures that feel both artistic and intentional. This project pulls pieces from three die sets, mixes in two paper packs, and blends three cardstock colours into one beautifully layered card.

Handmade cared using Artistic Leaves stamps from Stampin' Up! The card is in shades of espresso, petal pink and secret sea dark blue. The background is patterned paper with a soft apricot pink circle with stitching in the same colour. The leaves are layered on top of the circle and the white embossed sentiment says Grateful to you.

Artistic Leaves Stamp Set

Create an autumnal masterpiece with the detailed imagery in the Artistic Leaves Stamp Set. The Distinktive stamps give that watercolor effect without even trying—just 2 steps, stamp and go. Or use just the outline stamps for a completely different look!

Add one of 3 all-occasion sentiments to complete your handmade card.

Layers and Textures in Card Design

When we look closely at a card, it’s the layers and textures that truly bring it to life. Thoughtfully arranged die-cut elements and leaves add depth, creating a rich, luxurious feel. Meanwhile, the mix of patterned paper, thread, embossing, stitched details, and raised elements adds tactile interest, drawing the eye and enhancing the overall visual experience.

Want to recreate this vibe? Start with the Artistic Leaves stamp set and let your creativity layer from there. Mix textures, patterns, and stitched details to add dimension to your next handmade card.

Handmade Artistic Leaves card inside the card is a leaf stamped the same as the one on the front. Early Espresso and Pecan Pie ink colours.
