My Queen Bee sunshine birthday card has a sunny background using the emboss resist technique. The card was inspired by a period of bad weather during summer.
While the layout was cased from Sandra Henke, I changed a few things, therefore creating a new project.
DESIGN DETAILS
Firstly, I used the Stamparatus to stamp in Versamark and white emboss the Rays of Light stamp onto Basic White cardstock. Secondly, I sponged Pale Papaya ink over the top with a blending brush. The embossed area resists the ink and remains white after a wipe from a tissue.
Certainly, it was a ‘wow’ moment for some in the class and a refresher for others. Emboss Resist is a great technique and results in a textured background that entices people to wonder how it was achieved.

NATURAL FINISH RIBBON
Uniquely, you can stamp on the Natural Finish Ribbon. Made from a soft, earthy, flax and cotton blend, it has all the benefits and charm of burlap, without the scratchiness.
Lastly, I stamped the inner with a floral spray and bee from the stamp set and coloured to match.
