I have a really pretty card for you today. Made with the Quiet Meadow Bundle, a brand new set in the 2021 – 2022 Annual Catalogue. I LOVE this bundle!
I attended a demonstrator training day in May and we made a card using this bundle that was a monochromatic card with the wild flowers in black, very striking. Then I saw a post from Katie Andrews in the UK where she had water coloured her flowers. So I combined the 2 ideas for my class project.
I used the layout and elements of the training day card from Jacque Williams. 
The Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder in the background, a side mounted focal point with 2 layers. Pretty stitching made using the Stitched With Whimsy Dies. The beautiful mauve colour is the new In-Colour called Fresh Freesia. I destressed the edge with the blade of my scissors.
WATER COLOURED FLOWERS
I cut the flowers from water colour paper and coloured them using ink and water painters following Katie’s method. Then I added some leaves cut from Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen Shimmer Vellum hence the soft shimmer.
WILD FLOWER MEADOW DETAILS
I arranged the flowers into a bunch, trimming the length of 1 stem so some of the Freesia flowers were below the Daffodil ones. I wanted my bunch of wild flowers to freely move on the card so I only used glue on the bottom portion of the stems. Consequently they naturally lean out when the card is standing.
The sentiments were white heat embossed and cut using a die from the Meadow Dies in the bundle.
I coloured some White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon using the light Fresh Freesia Blend. You can make ribbon any colour with this method. To stick the bow I used a glue dot.
The inside features a layer of Fresh Freesia underneath the white to balance the card and stamped images from the Quiet Meadow stamp set.
