Today I am sharing my latest project. It is a Traditions of Christmas Card. I want to show how easy it is to create beautiful cards using Designer Series Paper (DSP) and an embossing folder.

Using DSP and Embossing Together
For this Traditions of Christmas Card, I used the Peaceful Greenery 3D Embossing Folder. The leafy pattern matches perfectly with the leaves in the DSP to create a coordinated look.
I fussy cut the floral spray straight from the Traditions of Christmas DSP. Then I popped it up on Dimensionals. This adds height and makes the image stand out.

Layered Focal Point
The embossing folder has a shape in the centre. I embossed that shape onto Bubble Bath cardstock. Then I cut it out by hand. I layered it behind the fussy-cut image to help draw attention to the main feature of this Christmas Card.
The stamped sentiment comes from the Traditional Labels stamp set. I stamped it in Real Red for a classic Christmas feel.

Colour Combination
I love the colours in this Traditions of Christmas Card. Bubble Bath, Real Red, and Pool Party give a soft and elegant style. The paper is already beautiful, so it does most of the work for you. I finished the card with three Cherry Cobbler adhesive-backed berries for a little festive shine.

Inside the Card
Inside the Traditions of Christmas Card, I added a thin strip of coordinating DSP. It brings the design from the front to the inside. So everything feels connected and complete.
