Welcome back! Today I’m excited to share a brand-new project that builds on my previous card design and takes it one step further—a Joyful Squares Twist Mini Album. Using the same clever twist concept, this mini album is a beautiful way to showcase patterned paper, photos, and special details in a compact, interactive format.
From Card to Joyful Squares Twist Mini Album
While creating the Joyful Squares Twist Card, I couldn’t stop thinking about how well that fold would translate into a mini album. Expanding the design into a Mini Album with a twist allowed me to add more layers, pages, and opportunities for embellishing while keeping the structure fun and easy to work with.
Supplies Used for This Mini Album
For this Mini Album, I used the stunning Nature Walk Designer Series Paper, which brings a soft, organic feel to the project. The Joyful Squares Bundle forms the foundation of the album, providing the square shapes and structure, while a floral element from the Lovely Arrangements Bundle adds a delicate finishing touch.
Adding Interest with Tools and Techniques
This project also includes a sneak peek at the Stampin’ Positioner tool, which makes precise stamping so much easier—especially when lining up stamped images. I’ve also used a clear embossing over coloured ink technique, which adds subtle shine and texture while letting the colour underneath really pop. It’s a simple technique that makes a big impact on the front of this album.
Why This Mini Album Works So Well
What I love about the this Mini Album is how interactive it feels without being complicated. The twist fold creates movement as you open the pages, and the square format keeps everything feeling balanced and cohesive. It’s perfect for memory keeping, gifting, or even as a creative class project.
Measurements to Try It Yourself
As with my previous projects, I’ve included measurements so you can recreate this album yourself. Once you understand the structure, it’s easy to adapt the design to different papers, themes, and occasions.
