For my card this week, I created a Welcome Noel Easel Christmas Card featuring a layered Christmas scene. I used the houses from the Welcome Noel Bundle and combined them with sentiments from Noel Tidings. I love a good easel card because it creates plenty of impact when displayed. Plus, it folds flat for posting!

Create a Layered Welcome Noel Christmas Scene
The Welcome Noel Bundle was perfect for creating my little Christmas village. I used the coordinating stamps and dies to bring the houses, trees and deer to life. I also added Neutral Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper to tie the design together.
Together, these elements create a cosy winter village with plenty of dimension. The traditional Christmas colours and gold accents add a lovely finishing touch.
A Simple Easel Card Design
Although this Welcome Noel Easel Christmas Card has plenty of dimension when standing, it folds flat to fit inside an envelope. Even better, I made the card base full size. This leaves plenty of room to write a personal Christmas message inside.
I found this easel card design on Heidi Collins’ website, and I love how simple it is to create. You don’t need to remember lots of measurements or use a large amount of cardstock. Plus, you can cover the exposed part of the easel mechanism with Designer Series Paper if you prefer a more finished look.

Add Dimension with the Welcome Noel Dies
I stamped and die-cut the houses, trees and deer using the Welcome Noel Bundle. I especially love the little winter village feel they create. By layering the different elements, I could build a scene with plenty of depth and interest.
One detail I particularly love is the layered house. I added a smaller house over the larger one using Stampin’ Dimensionals. This creates the illusion of a larger house and adds another layer to the scene.
To finish the house, I die-cut a wreath from Mossy Meadow cardstock using the Welcome Noel Dies. Then, I attached it to the front of the house with Liquid Glue. It’s a small detail, but it helps bring the whole Christmas scene together.
Sweet Sentiments
I chose two sentiments from the Noel Tidings Bundle to work together. They look lovely when the card stands open, but they also complement each other when the card is closed.
The Season’s Greetings banner creates the main focal point. Meanwhile, the smaller from our home to yours sentiment adds a personal touch beneath it.
Together, the sentiments give this Welcome Noel Easel Christmas Card a warm, welcoming feel. It’s a lovely way to send Christmas wishes to family and friends.
